Welcome to Portland Campus Financial Aid
Dear Potential Student,
As you prepare to matriculate on the Portland Campus, it is also the time of year to begin financial preparations. The role the financial aid office plays in the admissions process is to respond to admitted students with an offer of financial aid. The financial aid process begins with each individual student by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA. It is extremely important to file your 2010/2011 FAFSA as soon as possible after the beginning of January 1, 2010. Questions about income will be referring to income earned in 2009. Note, that even if you have not filed your taxes, you can still file your FAFSA using estimated income figures and update the amounts after taxes have been filed. Our duty is to determine the types and amounts of grants, loans, and scholarships you may be eligible for. However, we are limited from determining your entire financial aid eligibility if you don’t file your FAFSA early.
Linfield College has two school codes, please use both when you submit your FAFSA, they are 003198 and E00614 for the Portland Campus.
Feel free to contact us as you continue your preparations to join us on the Portland Campus for the 2010/2011 academic year.
Sincerely,
Gerardo Ochoa
Associate Director of Financial Aid
